Anirban Datta, PhD
Head of Biology
Anirban joined Verseon because his life’s mission is to change how we treat diseases in general—and to see cancer become an easily treatable condition in particular. He is the driving force behind Verseon's highly efficient automated processes for biological characterization of compounds, teasing out their unique properties, and structuring drug candidate development pathways. Anirban was previously a Susan B. Komen breast cancer fellow at UCSF; his early research was spun out into a cancer diagnostics company. Anirban received his BS in Physics and Biology from the University of Chicago and his PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania.
