Developing chemotherapy that works when other treatments fall short
Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, with chemotherapy remaining the first line of treatment for most cancers. But far too often chemotherapy fails because tumors develop drug resistance.
In our oncology program, we are directly addressing multidrug resistance. Our next-generation chemotherapy drugs are effective against multiple different cancer cell lines in preclinical studies. Most importantly, they continue to work even in cell lines that are resistant to existing anticancer agents.
